People on the move: McNamara heads investor services at CBRE GI EMEA as Clarke leaves [updated] | New

CBRE Global InvestorsBernie McNamara assumed the role of Head of Investor Services for the EMEA from Michael clarke. McNamara is currently the Global Co-Head of Investor Services and Solutions. Clarke has resigned from her post and her responsibilities will be transferred to McNamara. Clarke has been a member of the board of directors of the real estate association INREV since 2015.

Campus International Group Rainer Nonnengässer joined the developer of student housing and micro-apartments as CEO. Nonnengässer was recently the CEO of the real estate agency Youniq, and previously held the positions of CEO of Micro-living at MPC Capital and CEO of AXA Real Estate.

ElmTree FundRick eiseman joined the real estate private equity firm as senior vice president of operations and fund management. Eiseman is responsible for overseeing the asset management department, including property leasing and disposition, portfolio operations and property management functions. Eiseman was senior vice president of asset management for Gramercy Property Trust’s office portfolio from 2016 to 2018. Previously, he was National Office Leasing Manager for Gramercy’s predecessor, Gramercy Capital, from 2008 to 2016. Prior to his tenure at Gramercy, Eiseman was General Manager of Leasing and Sales for American Financial Realty Trust from 2004. to 2008, and vice president of Jones Lang Lasalle from 1998 to 2004.

Cushman and Wakefield JLL Angus currie joins the commercial real estate services company. Currie joins the firm as an international partner in its occupant representation team in London. At JLL, Currie was responsible for representing tenants in South East England. He first joined JLL as a graduate in 2001. Currie will begin working at Cushman in the spring.

Grosvenor GroupMatthieu barzun, a former US Ambassador to the UK, has joined the real estate group as a non-executive director. Barzun will be the group in March of this year. Barzun is president of Turtle Media, a London-based news agency. He was US Ambassador to the UK between 2013 and 2017 and to Sweden between 2009 and 2011. In 2008, he joined Barack Obama’s National Finance Committee.

Newcore Capital Management – The alternative real estate investment manager promoted Neil sarkhel, director of the company, to the director of funds and new business. Sarkhel joined Newcore in 2016 in the investment management division. He will be responsible for coordinating Newcore funds, raising new capital and dealing with investors. Sarkhel will also join Newcore’s board of directors. Prior to joining Newcore, he held various transactional and analytical positions for Brockton Capital and Goldman Sachs. Newcore has also hired Smart harry of BNP Paribas Immobilier as an investment manager. Smart will work on Newcore’s fourth fund. Newcore has also promoted Jonathan scriven, who joined the company in October 2017, to become an associate director within the investment management team and Priya Patel to the management controller.

Franklin Templeton InvestmentsGeorge szemere has been appointed Head of Alternative Sales for the EMEA region, responsible for the distribution of the US asset manager’s offerings in real estate, infrastructure, private equity, hedging, commodities and venture capital . and global strategic relationships for the EMEA. He also worked for ABN Amro Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Company of Ravens TrammellMike Nelson, Craig dobbs and Marc Netherlands were promoted to general managers. The team previously served as directors. Main Tom woodworth will retire at the end of March, when Mike Nelson will also assume the role of Business Unit Manager for the Seattle office of the commercial real estate developer. Dobbs and Netherland joined the company in 2012 and Woodworth in 2013, to reestablish the company’s Seattle office. In their new roles, the directors will continue to focus on investment opportunities as well as office, industrial and multi-family development.

Thor Actions Group – The urban real estate developer has promoted Toby Cooper and Luc Condon to the general manager. Cooper was until recently Executive Director of European Investments. Previously, he was a portfolio fund manager at DTZ Investors. Condon was also previously Executive Director for European Investments. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with Knight Frank.

Collyer BristowSimon edwards has been appointed Senior Commercial Real Estate Lawyer. Edwards joins the law firm as a partner.

Delin Capital Asset ManagementTijs Derison has been appointed general manager of the logistics investor’s Benelux activity. Derison joins Delin from UK REIT Segro, where he was the head of the Benelux. Previously, he worked for a number of national and international real estate asset and investment managers, including Hansteen Holdings and FGH Asset Management.
