Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui”, Headquarters: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) received a 2021 IR Grand Prize from the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA) at the 2021 IR Awards on the 26th of the awards.
JIRA awards awards to publicly traded member companies that deeply understand and proactively promote IRs, gaining strong endorsement from market participants. This is the first time Mitsui has won the IR Grand Prix, while Mitsui received the Best IR Award in 2008, 2018 and 2019 and the IR Special Award in 2014.
The selection committee said the following about Mitsui’s selection:
“The President and CEO of Mitsui places great importance on IRs and implements management and financial strategies that take into account the capital markets. The RI department actively held online meetings and responded politely and appropriately in the same way to face-to-face meetings. Mitsui was also highly regarded for her active dialogue opportunities such as CFO talks and Investor Day, which was held for the fifth year in a row. the allocation policy has been shared with the investors. Integrated reporting and IR documents have become more highly rated with the increased disclosure of ESG information.
Encouraged by this award, Mitsui will strive to further improve the quality and fairness of corporate information disclosure and interactive communication with its investors, shareholders and all stakeholders.
