HII Appoints Christie Thomas as Vice President, Investor Relations


NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia, 03 dec. 2021 (GLOBE NEWSLETTER) – Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) announced today that Christie thomas has been appointed Corporate Vice President, Investor Relations.

Thomas, former vice president of contracts and pricing at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division since 2018, will replace Dwayne blake when he retired on January 1st. In his new role, Thomas’s responsibilities will include acting as the primary interface between the investment community and the company with an emphasis on training institutional investors and research analysts on business strategy, operations and the company’s financial results.

Thomas will also work closely with the finance, communications and legal teams to analyze financial results, develop earnings announcements, perform competition and stock trading analysis and ensure compliance with all Security and Trade Commission regulations. It will report directly to Tom stiehle, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to serving as Vice President of Newport News Shipbuilding, Thomas joined the Ingalls Shipbuilding division of HII in 2006 and held director positions in supply chain management, business management, business development. , contracts and pricing. In 2017, she was promoted to Director of Investor Relations at HII Headquarters. Prior to HII, Thomas spent 12 years with Lockheed Martin. A native of Pennsylvania, Thomas obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bucknell University and an MBA in finance from State University of New York To Binghamton.
