Faith Investor Services, LLC (FIS), in partnership with Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors (KoCAA), today announced the launch of its first ETF on the New York Stock Exchange. The new fund, the FIS Knights of Columbus Global Belief ETF, will trade under the stock symbol KOCG. As more and more investors seek to align their investments with their values, this ETF aims to provide them with a faith-based opportunity backed by a team of institutional investing experts.
FIS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Slate Hill Partners (SHP), is led by veterans of asset management Michael Skillman and Joe valdman. KoCAA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Knights of Columbus, a worldwide Catholic fraternal organization founded in 1882 with over two million members and over $ 120 billion in life insurance in force.
âThis fund is an example of how Catholics can invest their money in a way compatible with their faith and can potentially increase their wealth,â said Antoine Minopoli, President and Chief Investment Officer of Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors. “We think KOCG is a great solution for Catholic investors.”
KoCAA manages nearly $ 29 billion through various investment vehicles and adheres to investment guidelines established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Investment criteria include investing in companies that align with Catholic values, such as respect for life, respect for human dignity, and the Catholic Church’s position on war and peace. Unlike other faith-based ETFs, KOCG will be actively managed and under-advised to ensure that the ETF consistently meets the high standards set out by the faith-based investment guidelines.
âThe launch of KOCG is the culmination of years of work backed by a commitment to provide an exceptional faith-based ETF. I am honored that the Knights of Columbus has agreed to partner with us, âsaid Valdman, Managing Partner at Slate Hill Partners and Founder of FIS. âThe Knights have committed members who have continued to live Catholic values ââaround the world and have a proven track record in aligning their money with their mission. The combination of a strong value system and a significant capital base positions KOCG to achieve flagship status for investors looking for a fund that aligns with Catholic values.
âFIS was founded with the aim of providing investors with ETFs that can create significant change in the world and align with their moral guidelines,â explained Mike Skillman, CEO of FIS. âWe want to give people a simple way to invest in respecting their faith and their moral framework. We invite anyone looking to align their faith with their investments to consider KOCG. We anticipate that our platform will offer similar options to investors of other faiths in the future. “
FIS plans to add additional products to its range.
