Bharti Airtel Limited has appointed Rajiv Sharma as Head of Investor Relations with effect from October 1, 2021. He succeeds Komal Sharan, who is moving to a new position within the Bharti Group.
In his new role, Rajiv would report to Badal Bagri, CFO (India and South Asia), Airtel. Rajiv will be responsible for ensuring that Airtel is properly represented to investors, lenders, financial partners and financial institutions.

Rajiv is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of experience in capital markets, business strategy, consulting, IPOs, fundraising and equity research. He joined Airtel from Spark Capital Advisors where he was Director – Investment Banking & Head – Digital Research. Prior to that he worked with organizations such as SBICAP Securities, HSBC and PWC.
Rajiv holds an Honors MBA in Finance from ICFAI, Hyderabad, Wharton School Certification in Strategic Thinking and Leadership and is also a Certified Personal Coach from ICF. He is passionate about helping start-ups and works with start-up entrepreneurs as a mentor.
At around 1:28 p.m., Bharti Airtel was trading at Rs 700.85 per coin, up Rs 19.75 or 2.9% on Sensex. The stock gained more than 3% with an intraday high of 703.35 rupees per coin.
